Oh that I would know when to stand before God and when to fall flat in worship and reverence. Not get caught up in God’s work in me but that God is addressing me – God, creator of all, giver of grace, the one who saves, heals, restores; that I would always recognize His presence and fall at His feet.

1.7.2016 (Genesis 19-21)
“He answered, ‘For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.’ Genesis 18:32b

Responding to Abraham’s defense of and cry for mercy for citizens of the city of Sodom, God says he will not destroy the city if 10 righteous people are found in the city. The angels, sent to Sodom, find only 4, Lot, his wife, and 2 daughters. Can God always find me among the righteous? Can I always be depended on to be one of those who protects others from destruction, even those who do not protect themselves? Lord, let it always be so.
