Scripture Nugget 12.16.16

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.” James 3:17-18

“In James, salvation is when you talk and walk like Jesus.” (Wesley Study Bible notes, pg 1500) Take a moment, a thoughtful, intentional moment, ask yourself, based on the two verses of scripture quoted above and the James’ definition of salvation, “How is it with your soul?” Advent is a season of expectant reflection anticipating the return of Christ, in light of knowing Christ has come and the Kingdom of God is here. If I, you, all would take on that opportunity fully how large would be the harvest of righteousness? It starts with me and you, let’s get it started!
